5 Steps to a Straighter Smile

Invisalign clear aligners from Chapel Hill Dental allow you to debut a new straighter smile.

Step 1

Book Your First
Consultation

The first thing your dentist will do is determine if Invisalign is a good fit for you. Next, we will use a digital scanner to create a 3D image of your smile and what it may look like after the Invisalign treatment.

Step 2

Develop a Custom
Treatment Plan

Based on the decisions made in your first appointment, we will map out an Invisalign treatment plan with timelines. Your plan will include how we expect your teeth to move throughout treatment.

Step 3

Start Your Custom
Treatment Plan

We will produce a series of custom Invisalign clear aligners just for you. You will wear them each day, taking them out to eat, drink, brush and floss. The aligners should cause your teeth to shift during treatment.

Step 4

Switch Your Aligners
Every Two Weeks

You will wear each set of aligners for approximately two weeks. You will also have brief checkups with your dental team – every six weeks or so – to review your progress.

Step 5

Maintain Your
Smile After Treatment

You made it to the end of treatment! During your final appointment, we will discuss the next steps, and prescribe retainers to help your teeth retain their position.
