L'oxyde nitreux (ou gaz hilarant) a un effet euphorisant | Chapel Hill Dental

Anesthésie

Feel Relaxed While You're In The Chair

Nitrous oxide (also called laughing gas) sedation is a safe and effective way of minimizing pain and reducing anxiety associated with dental treatments. The sedative agent is mixed with oxygen and inhaled through a mask, and its effects wear off quickly once the mask is removed.

Sedation Without The Hassle

Unlike being put to sleep, receiving nitrous oxide sedation is extremely straightforward and uncomplicated. There is no pre-planning for you, and best of all you'll be able to drive yourself home right after your treatment!

During the administration of the gas, you remain fully conscious, fully aware, and fully able to communicate with your dental provider. Your sedation can be stopped or paused at any time if you start feeling uncomfortable or if you feel the need to take a break.

At Chapel Hill Dental our dentists are qualified to administer the gas and would be happy to discuss these and all of its other benefits with you prior to your planned treatment.

Will My Insurance Cover the Costs?

Many dental plans will cover the use of nitrous oxide. But to be sure of coverage in advance of your procedure, our Patient Experience Coordinators would be happy to submit a pre-determination request to your insurer on your behalf.
